Trip - 5th Annual TASSA Conference

Turkish Student Association is organizing a trip to attend Turkish American Scientists & Scholars Association 2012 Annual Conference.


Where?
Van Munching Hall, Robert H. Smith School of Business
University of Maryland at College Park, Maryland

When?
March 3-4, 2012

The trip includes travel to and from the conference in a rental vehicle and a 2-night group hotel accommodation. We will leave from Albany on Friday (March 2) morning and return back on Sunday (March 4) night.

  • GSO funds will not be used for this trip, so the estimated cost per person is $325.
  • Meals and incidentals are not included.
  • Very limited number of seats is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Price is subject to change based on number of attendants.

TURKSA Earthquake Donation T-shirts are on Sale!

TURKSA earthquake donation t-shirts are on sale! There are two different colors, gray and white. The price is $20. The money that will be collected from the sale will be donated to Turkish Red Crescent Society to aid earthquake victims. Turkish Earthquake Fundraising Dinner & Turkish Republic Day Reception

A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Turkey last weekend. Turkish authorities and scientists are estimating a death toll between 500 and 1000. Turkish Student Association is deeply saddened by the earthquake and conveys its condolences and well wishes to victims’ families.

In response to this tragic event, Turksa will organize various fundraising activities at SUNY Albany campus. We decided to change the name of our approaching event (Turkish Republic Day Reception) as “Turkish Earthquake Fundraising Dinner”.

Turkish National Day Reception

We are celebrating the 91st Anniversary of the TBMM (Turkish Grand National Assembly) and the National Sovereignty and Children's Day with pride and great enthusiasm. This national holiday was bestowed to children by the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which indicates his confidence and belief as well as those of the Turkish nation in children.

Indoor Soccer League

Turkish Student Association has organized an indoor soccer league for its members and interested individuals during cold winter months of spring 2010 semester. The league is non-competitive, open to all, and free of charge. Scheduled games will take place at UAlbany’s Bubble, an air-supported hard surface sports facility located east of Physical Education Building in uptown campus. All are welcome to join to engage in a healthy fun activity and to meet some new friends.
