A group of four students from Turkish Student Association participated at an invitation only breakfast as part of the UAlbany Advocacy Day. Co-hosted by New York State Assembly Majority Leader Ron Canestrari and Senator Neil Breslin at the Sign of the Tree Restaurant in the Empire State Plaza, breakfast was the kick-off event for day long activities for the Advocacy Day.Student, faculty, and staff representatives sat together with legislators, including 11 UAlbany alumni members of the State Legislature, during hour-and-a-half breakfast to celebrate and advocate for the University at Albany. In addition to the co-hosts, UAlbany Interim President George Philip, United University Professionals Albany Chapter President Candace Merbler, and Assembly Higher Education Committee Chair Deborah Glick shared their visions about UAlbany.
